FAQ: Understanding the Backdrop Selection Process

We want to make sure you fully understand how the backdrop selection works, especially when multiple options are available. Below, you'll find answers to common questions that will guide you through the process.

Important: Our backdrops are real, not digitally added. This means that if you select more than one backdrop, it will be treated as a separate session.


Q: What is a Backdrop?

A backdrop refers to the setting or background used during your child’s photo session. Each backdrop is thoughtfully designed to match the season, event, or theme. Examples include a Christmas Backdrop and a Neutral Backdrop.


Q: Can I choose more than one backdrop for my child’s session?

Yes! If your child's picture day session has available two backdrops (for example, Christmas and Winter), you have the option to select either one or both backdrops for your child’s photo session.


Q: Does choosing more than one backdrop mean I have to pay extra?

Yes. Since we use real backdrops, selecting more than one backdrop means your child will have two separate photo sessions — one with each backdrop. This requires more time and attention as the photographer needs to set up and take down the backdrops. Choosing more than one backdrop means purchasing an additional package.


Q: Why does selecting two backdrops require two packages?

Each backdrop is treated as a separate session. Here’s why:

  • Logistical Setup: Our photographers spend time setting up each backdrop to make sure it's perfect for your child's photos.
  • Session Time: Your child receives dedicated time for each session, ensuring they're comfortable and looking their best.
  • More Images: You'll receive a separate set of images for each backdrop, offering more variety and more beautiful memories to choose from!

Q: How do I select my preferred backdrop(s)?

During the registration process, you'll be asked to select the backdrop(s) for your child’s session. Depending on your school, you might have the following options:

  • Select a single backdrop (this is included in your package)
  • Select both backdrops (this requires purchasing an additional package)

Q: What happens if I choose both backdrops?

If you choose both backdrops, your child will have two separate photo sessions, one with each backdrop. You will need to purchase a package for each backdrop, but this also means you’ll have twice the number of photos to choose from.


Q: How do I know if my school offers one or two backdrops?

When you select your child’s school during the registration process, the available backdrop options will be shown automatically. If your school offers two backdrops, you'll have the option to select either one or both.


Q: What if I only want one backdrop?

No problem! Simply select your preferred backdrop, and you’ll only be charged for one package. This will give your child a full session with one beautifully selected backdrop.


Q: Can I change my mind after selecting a backdrop?

If you change your mind after registration, please contact us at least 5 before Picture Day. We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but changes might not be possible after a certain point due to logistics.


Q: How will I know what backdrops are available for my child’s session?

The available backdrops will be shown during the registration process. We may send you examples of the backdrops via email or display them on yous child's school so you can make the best choice for your child.


Q: What if my child’s school only offers one backdrop?

If only one backdrop is offered by your child’s school, you won’t need to make a selection. The session will automatically be done with the designated backdrop for that school.


Q: Can I see examples of the backdrops before I decide?

Yes! We can share examples of the backdrops used at your child’s school. Please check with your inbox is you are subscribed to our newsletter, or check with your child's school to see the backdrop sample available.
